When we heal the earth, we heal ourselves

Our Little Pond Project

In 2025, our main conservation goal was to create a larger, sustainable water and food source for our amphibious friends. We wanted something that would not only support wildlife but also add beauty to our space—so we built a small pond near our front door.

We stocked it with goldfish, added duckweed, and placed rocks for fish and frogs to hide. Then we waited… and waited… until one day, our very first frog appeared! Soon after, we’d see 10–15 frogs at once, their little heads poking up through the duckweed.

But the pond didn’t just attract frogs. Over time, it has welcomed raccoons, possums, snakes, deer, and more, all stopping by to visit. What began as a simple conservation project has become one of our favorite spots—a reminder that when you make space for nature, it will show up in amazing ways.
